Luxury department store Harvey Nichols has opened its new ‘VIP’ Style Advisors Service at its Knightsbridge flagship.
A Harvey Nichols spokesman said shoppers are treated to the “ultimate luxury personal shopping experience”, including a glass of champagne on arrival, private consultations with style advisors and a delivery service that transports shopping to the customer’s hotel or home.
Shoppers can enjoy “pampering treats and five star dining” whilst personal shoppers assemble edits of different looks. “It’s the VIP, 5* treatment,” the spokesman added.
Retailers are increasingly looking at ways to create theatre in stores in the face of the rising popularity of online shopping. In September Selfridges opened a cinema in its flagship Oxford Street store while John Lewis has this year opened two new restaurants at its Oxford Street store to increase dwell time.
