Sportswear giant Foot Locker is looking at bringing its kids-only fascia to the UK, Retail Week has learned.
The retailer already operates 300 of its Kids Foot Locker stores, which average 1,400 sq ft, across the US, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Kids Foot Locker also operates its own ecommerce site in the US.
Foot Locker is thought to be on the hunt for the kids stores in London. Footwear retailer Schuh has also launched a kids-only format, opening three upon launch last October in Braehead in Glasgow, Essex’s Lakeside shopping centre and Liverpool One.
The move follows the opening of Footlocker’s Locker Room format, which target sports enthusiasts, in Brent Cross in 2011.
The retailer operates 3,335 stores in 23 countries across its fascias.
Foot Locker did not return calls.
