Fortunate Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart has topped Fortune 500's list of the biggest US companies for the second year running. The retailer displaced General Motors in 2001, and has now extended its lead. Wal-Mart's sales were US$60 billion (£38.68 billion) more than General Motors' last year.
