Bookseller Foyles is to open a store in Westfield Stratford City, bringing its branch count to seven.
The privately owned retailer will trade from 5,000 sq ft in the centre, which is next to the 2012 Olympics stadium and scheduled to open this September. Foyles’ shop will be close to Waitrose and John Lewis “and surrounded by leading children’s retailers.”
Foyles chief executive Sam Husain said: “Westfield’s vision for cultural experience, education and youth engagement makes the Stratford city centre a particularly strong fit.”
The retailer, famous for its flagship store on London’s Charing Cross Road, has recently began expanding outside London with the opening of a shop in Bristol’s Cabot Circus.
