Young fashion brand G-Star is in talks to open flagship franchise stores in London’s Oxford Street, Glasgow and Manchester.
The move is part of the brand’s plans to double its UK retail portfolio from 25 to 50 stores by 2015.
Jonas Bach, sales director for the UK and Scandinavia, said the stores would open within the next few months. He said G-Star would be targeting shopping centres and town centres and would tailor its offer to the different locations.
Bach said the “main focus is to maintain our position as the number one premium denim brand in the UK”. He added that G-Star’s emphasis was on product innovation and “going back to our main values, which is [product] that is raw, pure and functional”.
