Bike specialist retailer Evans Cycles has poached Radley + Co chief finance officer Jonathan Blanchard to head up its finance and IT operations.

Blanchard has taken on the role of chief financial officer at Evans Cycles after six years at Radley. He replaced Andy Hall who was finance director.

Blanchard will also head up the retailer’s Ride to Work scheme.

Evans Cycles chief executive Nick Wilkinson said: “Jonathan has a lot of experience working in private equity-backed, growing businesses, which are a similar-size to us.”

Wilkinson added that the new appointment will helped prepare the company for significant growth over the next five years.
