Tiger recorded a 63% surge in pre-tax profit last year as it opened six stores in the year including its Tottenham Court Road flagship.
The general merchandise value retailer generated £2.8m in pre-tax profit in the year to December 31, 2013.
Sales soared 45% to £23.3m and like-for-like sales jumped 4%.
The Danish retailer opened six new stores in the year to bring its store estate to 24 and launched its first central London store located in Tottenham Court Road in August last year.
Tiger UK managing director Philip Bier said: “We are satisfied with our trading results for 2013, which demonstrate that our profits are increasing at a faster rate than our expansion.
“Tiger will be expanding rapidly throughout 2014, with new stores opening in urban affluent and fashionable high streets and shopping centres throughout London and the Southeast.“
Tiger, which has no plans to launch a transactional website, will open three more stores in the first half of this year in Richmond, Canterbury and St Albans with up to 10 planned in total this year. It also plans to move its UK head office to Tottenham Court Road from north London.
“We will have a much better eye on what is going on in the sector and it will attract more people to work with us,” Bier added.
He said Tiger plans to bolster its middle management teams this year with a big recruitment drive.
Bier said Tiger has also recently opened its first UK warehouse in Milton Keynes, which will cut delivery times to stores. Previously Tiger has accepted deliveries straight to stores from its hub in Denmark.
