Glasgow park extension

London Merchant Securities has secured planning permission to extend its 17,375 sq m Strathkelvin retail park at Bishopbriggs in Glasgow through the construction of a new unit for existing tenant B&Q. The new B&Q Warehouse will comprise 9,230 sq m together with a 2,780 sq m garden centre and 1,860 sq m bulk goods storage area. This will increase the size of the Strathkelvin retail park to 26,650 sq m. Construction work is expected to start in the spring, with the new store set to open in 2004.
