Food prices look set to rise after poor UK harvests following recent wet weather.

Wheat yields in England were down by almost 15% on the five-year average, according to the National Farmers Union.

The summer was the second wettest in the UK since records began according to Met Office figures.

Food prices were already under pressure following droughts in the US and a heatwave in Russia.

Fruit and vegetables in store will also be smaller and of lower quality according to Morrisons corporate services director Martyn Jones who spoke to BBC News.
