Sainsbury’s has confirmed it is slashing prices on some of its baby milk products from tomorrow.
The baby milk price cuts will match “market lows”, according to Sainsbury’s, which also said it comes as part of its “unwavering commitment to great value”.
Baby milk brands, such as Cow & Gate, Aptamil and SMA, will be included in the latest round of price drops, offering value to families “across its entire baby range”.
Sainsbury’s recently added its own-brand Little Ones baby range – more than 60 products – to its Aldi Price Match.
A spokesperson for Sainsbury’s said: “We know families are still finding things tough and we’re working harder than ever to reduce our costs, putting the money back into our customers’ pockets through lower prices on the products they buy most often.”
The news comes after Sainsbury’s pledged in January this year to invest £220m in price and bolstered the Aldi Price Match to its largest-ever offering.
Sainsbury’s boss Simon Roberts was named the Salesforce Retail Leader of the Year at this year’s Retail Week Awards after the supermarket giant reported its biggest jump in grocery market share in over a decade over the Christmas period.
