Tesco has made several key changes in its marketing team appointing Carolyn Bradley as its group brand director in the process.
The grocer’s chief marketing officer Tim Mason has created a group marketing team “to lead brand development” across Tesco.
Bradley will work alongside digital marketing director Matt Atkinson “to develop our marketing blueprints and bring them to life across the business”, Tesco said.
David Wood, currently commercial director in Hungary, will join the UK board and replace Bradley as UK marketing director.
Wood has marketing experience managing and marketing brands for FMCG giants Kraft and Unilever.
UK chief executive Richard Brasher said the changes would take place “in the coming weeks” and Wood’s successor would be revealed “shortly”.
Bradley said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my four years as UK marketing director and am excited by this new opportunity to use my experience to help build our brand and our marketing skills across the group.”
Tesco deputy chief executive and chief marketing officer Tim Mason said: “Carolyn brings a wide range of experience to this important new role.
“I have worked with her before and there is no-one better able to help me with the new work we are doing round the world to develop the Tesco brand.”
