The Perfume Shop will be hiring over 750 temporary roles from mid-September through to October as it launches its Christmas recruitment programme.
The Perfume Shop has launched its Christmas recruitment campaign across 196 stores in the UK in the lead-up to the festive season with over 750 temporary roles paid at the Real Living Wage along with other benefits.
Last year, the retailer was able to offer over 250 permanent roles to Christmas sales assistants and said it will continue to offer permanent roles to temporary staff where available.
In addition to the Real Living Wage pay rate, The Perfume Shop will also be paying commission to everyone that works in its stores over the Christmas period. On average, the retailer’s Christmas sales assistants earned over £150 in commission last year across October, November and December.
Michelle Fellows, people and development director, said: “At The Perfume Shop we believe in creating the ultimate shopping experience for our customers all year round, but especially during the festive period. We believe in those that have positive energy, talent for team work, passion for perfume and creating a spark with customers.
“Lots of our store staff over the years have gone on to great success, including those that now work in our head office also. This is a fantastic place to work through the festive season and it’s our teams who make it really special for our customers.”
