US fashion brand Hollister is understood to be closing in on its next three stores in the UK as part of a first-phase roll-out.
The retailer has already made clear its intentions to open a store in the upcoming Westfield London centre, but is also believed to be on the hunt for stores at WestQuay in Southampton and Meadowhall.
Hollister, which is the sister brand of Abercrombie & Fitch, has taken space in Brent Cross shopping centre and at the beginning of the month signed for a unit at Lend Lease’s Bluewater, despite announcing that it had earmarked London’s Covent Garden to open a 40,000 sq ft (3,715 sq m) flagship store.
Westfield London is reported to be the most imminent signing, with a deal expected in the coming weeks.
The signing of the next three deals will complete Hollister’s plans to open five stores in the UK in an initial store roll-out.
When Hollister revealed its intention to come to the UK in November, it said that 10 stores were likely within the first year.
