Apple reports record-breaking sales
Sales of the iPhone 6 grew well ahead of expectation resulting in a record-breaking set of quarterly results.
Apple sold 74.5 million iPhones in the three months to December 27, 2014 with revenue of $74.6bn (£49.6bn) and net profit of $18bn (£11.9bn).
Apple also recorded a 70% rise in China sales, reported Reuters.
Former Hamleys executive appointed as Foyles new CEO
Paul Currie has been appointed chief executive to replace Sam Husain at Foyles.
After eight years at Foyles, Sam Husain will retire on his 68th birthday in April 2015.
Paul Currie, a former chief operating officer at Hamleys, has been in a senior role at the Molton Brown bath and beauty company since 2011, said The Guardian.
Foyles recorded an 8% rise in sales in December 2014 compared to 2013.
Foyles has four shops in London and one in Bristol, and plans to open a branch in Birmingham in September 2015.
Retail staff top list of unhappiest workers
According to a survey 1,000 workers in 30 different sectors by job search engine Adzuna, retail staff are the unhappiest when it comes to pay.
The study results showcased 65% of all shop assistants were dissatisfied with their current pay.
Of all respondents across all sectors, 52% reported being unhappy with their salary or hourly wage while only 3% said they were completely satisfied with their salary level.
