International News - Ahold seeks to raise cash

Speculation was growing as Retail Week went to press that Ahold, the troubled Dutch retailer, would announce a EUR2.5 billion (£1.7 billion) rights issue today. Ahold was also thought likely to reveal a target price for asset sales.
