Consumer electronics specialist Apple has launched a store selling refurbished devices on eBay.

The trial has been kept under wraps and has not been publicised by the retailer. The products are sold for the same price as equivalent items in Apple’s refurbished store on Apple.com.

While Apple charges a sales tax in every state on its own website, the eBay shop only charges state tax in certain states.
