The application increases the leisure content at the development, which now comprises 93,560 sq ft (8,690 sq m) of retail space and 34,650 sq ft (3,220 sq m) of leisure space, plus offices, 60 apartments, a library and museum.
JJB will occupy a 22,500 sq ft (2,090 sq m) unit, with a ground-floor sports and fitness centre and a first-floor store. Six other lettings are also in solicitors' hands.
Nick Rees, director at Rees Denton, the scheme's letting agent, said: 'It is clear retailers believe there is a huge untapped market in this area, the interest to take space in this scheme is strong.'
