I see the new CEO is planning to continue on the ludicrous path of self destruction but just do it at pace! You really couldn’t make it up!
It has to be asked why NEXT with an omni channel model can make it work and JL can’t. The answer it’s because they have stripped so much cost out of stores that they can no longer deliver the point of difference customer service. Add to that the appalling stock availability in stores and no surprise you see the sales plummet.I don’t doubt the online contribution target of 60% will be met and probably exceeded but that mix will be of a much smaller business.
You don’t need a strategy Director it is the ceo and boards job....unless of course you don’t know what your doing.
The concept sounds amazing.....let’s see six months from opening if we can find any impartial advisors or indeed any staff at all ;)))
