Sofa.com hires retail operations director Linda Ormrod as it builds its infrastructure

Sofa.com, which hired Altium to explore options for the business late last year, has appointed Linda Ormrod, who previously worked for Oliver Bonas and Australian brand Mimco.

Her role involves developing the people and infrastructure required to support its growth, according to the retailer.

Ormrod said: “As Sofa.com has grown, it’s been highly successful at maintaining high levels of service and a generally outstanding customer experience. I am looking forward to supporting the Sofa.com customer within what is sure to continue to be a fast-moving and innovative environment.”

Ormrod reports in to Sofa.com chief executive Gareth Williams.

Sofa.com has also appointed Julian Neal as interim commercial director, who will be in charge of ecommerce, digital marketing and merchandising. He has 20 years of retail experience in firms incuding Phones 4u, Dreams and Screwfix.
