Fashion group Alexon has revealed that new chief executive Jane McNally will join the retailer on June 16. Outgoing chief executive John Osborn will retire on August 29.
In an interim management statement, Alexon said: “Despite a difficult economic environment of weakened consumer demand and unhelpful weather, trade during the first 18 weeks of the half has continued to be in line with expectations for both Alexon brands and Bay Trading. We are continuing to maintain margins and control costs.”
Alexon sold its struggling Envy menswear brand to John Kinnaird in February for£1, as revealed by Retail Week (January 18).
Alexon will announce its interim results for the 26 weeks to July 26 on September 22.
