New Look has hired Bestseller’s Anders Kristiansen as its new chief executive.
Kristiansen was vice chief executive of Bestseller Fashion Group, which operates brands including Vero Moda and Jack & Jones, in China. He starts at New Look on January 7.
The appointment ends New Look’s year-long search for a new boss.
New Look chairman Alistair McGeorge said: “He brings with him significant multinational retail experience and we very much look forward to welcoming him and working together.”
Kristiansen said: “New Look is a great brand and I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to lead the company forward at this exciting stage. The challenge for the next few years is to build upon the solid foundations that have been laid by Alistair McGeorge and Tom Singh.”
New Look EBITDA soared 25.2% to £86.9m in its first half to September 22, despite UK like-for-likes dipping 3.1%
