Next Beauty’s chief executive Amanda Scott has stepped down from her role at the business, Retail Week can reveal.
Scott was the head of Next Beauty for nearly five years, where she led the fashion giant’s first venture into the world of premium beauty.
Retail Week understands that Scott has departed the business and taken on advisory roles with other beauty brands.
She was previously chief executive of beauty store and website Fabled by Marie Claire, owned by Ocado Group.
Ocado offloaded the business to Next in 2019 in a deal reportedly worth £8m after it made strategic ties with Marks & Spencer.
At the time, Simon Wolfson, chief executive of Next, said: “Fabled’s experience and expertise bring an opportunity for the Next Group to develop an extensive premium beauty business supported by our online and retail platform.”
