One of retail’s best-known headhunters, Fran Minogue, is standing down from Heidrick & Struggles after 10 years.
Minogue, who ran Heidrick & Struggles’ global retail practice and formerly worked for store groups including Body Shop International, where she was general manager, has handled some of the biggest placings of recent years.
Among her highest profile placings were former Asda boss Tony DeNunzio as chairman of Maxeda and John King as chief executive of House of Fraser.
Over the last year or so she installed former Boots boss Richard Baker as an operating partner at private equity house Advent and former Asda and Somerfield director Paul Mason as chairman of Cath Kidston.
Minogue’s future plans are not known, but it is understood that she is beginning a period of gardening leave.
