Totally agree with Mr. Crossick. Nobody, not even the keenest "leave" campaigners, doubted there would be a short term impact on the economy, so what is so surprising is that this this news warrants such a fanfare headline descriptive as "plummets". Helen Dickinson's article yesterday was bang on the money, if we think about a recession, and talk about it enough, we'll get one. The media and general press have a pivotal role in giving a balanced viewpoint to the public, and the constant "glass half empty" stance that the majority of them have taken since the referendum, aren't helping the retail industry to stave off those fears. Be careful what you wish for!.
