Yorkshire-based furniture retailer John Peters has doubled its number of stores after the acquisition of retail warehouse units in Wakefield, Doncaster, York and Leeds.
John Peters has acquired the leasehold interest in the former Conroys stores on Ings Road in Wakefield and the Thorne Road Retail Park in Doncaster.
It has also taken a new lease on the 1,150 sq m ex-Comet store on Armley Road in Leeds at a rent of£85,000 per annum.
In addition, John Peters has just completed the purchase of two freehold stores in York and Leeds. A further 1,600 sq m new-build retail warehouse will open in Hull late next summer.
Michael Pudney, director of retained property adviser DTZ, said: 'John Peters can now offer true representation in North, South, East and West Yorkshire. Further stores in other large Yorkshire towns will be considered once the new stores are up and running.'
