Lego opened its first UK store in five years last week.

The famous toy brand opened a shop in Westfield London and plans its fifth UK store in Cardiff’s St David’s Centre next month, as it aims to capitalise on its renewed popularity. It has three stores in Milton Keynes, Bluewater and Brighton, and plans more shops in cities such as Leeds.

Lego, which previously had stores in the Bullring in Birmingham and Kingston-upon-Thames but closed them in 2006, will have 14 stores in the UK, Germany and Denmark trading by Christmas and plans 60 to 70 stores by 2015, opening 15 to 20 a year globally. Lego also has 48 stores in the US.
