THG-owned ecommerce beauty retailer Lookfantastic is stepping into physical retail with its first high street store, Cosmetics Business reports.
Online beauty retailer Lookfantastic is set to open its first physical store in Altrincham town centre in what will be the ecommerce beauty retailer’s first permanent physical location.
The THG-owned brand will occupy the George Street unit in the Stamford Quarter, vacated in late 2023 by JD Sports, and will use the space to create customer-focused and experiential shopping experiences.
Set to open in September this year, the store will initially feature 90 brands from the Lookfantastic portfolio.
THG highlighted the performance of its beauty division in its full-year results at the company’s AGM yesterday. It said it had made further progress in the first half of 2024 in line with previous guidance and that the second quarter will represent its third consecutive quarter of revenue growth.
The group said its performance was “underpinned by positive trading within the beauty, external Ingenuity and offline nutrition businesses” that have offset continuing headwinds in Asia.
