Store sales were particularly strong, up 17 per cent on the previous year. Online turnover rose 27 per cent. The White Company opened two stores in October, at Canary Wharf and Selfridges in London.
The White Company managing director Patricia Alford-Burnett said: “We are pleased with both our Christmas trading results and the last financial year. Sales growth has come across all product areas, including a strong performance from clothing and gifts.”
In the year to March 31, The White Company’s turnover rose 24 per cent to£6.3 million with EBITDA up 28 per cent from£3.5 million in 2006 to£4.5 million.
In a statement, the The White Company said that turnover in the current year is expected to top£70 million with improved margins and profit.
A new store roll-out programme begins this year.
