Ebay’s UK boss Tanya Lawler has stepped down after four years with the online marketplace.
Lawler left eBay on Monday this week, the company confirmed to Retail Week. It is unclear whether she has another role lined up.
Lawler joined the company as vice president of UK trading in 2012 before being promoted to vice president of the retailer’s UK operations.
She joined eBay from Sainsbury’s, where she had held various roles including cross-channel director. She also previously worked at Argos.
An eBay spokesman said: “Tanya has overseen a period of tremendous innovation in eBay’s UK business during her tenure as leader – from the innovative click-and-collect partnership with Argos, to the recent launch into new categories, such as curve fashion.”
He added: “She agreed to stay in role to ensure a strong Q4 plan was in place and executed.”
A successor for her role has been lined up and will take up the job early next year.
However, eBay would not reveal who the replacement is or whether it was an internal or external appointment.
In the meantime, senior vice president of eBay EMEA Paul Todd will oversee UK operations.
