Indian etailer Koovs has named Robert John Pursell as its new finance boss as Roy Naismith steps down from his role with the business.
Pursell has been drafted in from software development business Eviivo, and has been appointed to the role with immediate effect. He will also take up a position on the etailer’s board.
Koovs said Naismith will remain with the business until August 31 to “ensure a smooth transition”.
Sheffield University graduate Pursell, 44, is a chartered accountant and currently serves as a director of Hotel Solutions Direct Limited.
His appointment comes months after Koovs unveiled rocketing full-year sales, which soared 189% in the 12 months to March 31.
Traffic to the website also jumped, increasing 110% to 43.8 million for the year, with weekly figures regularly going beyond 1 million visits. Registered users hit 1 million, a jump of 226%.
Koovs chairman Lord Waheed Alli said: “The board and I would like to thank Roy for his contribution to the company during this time and wish him every success for the future. We are delighted with the appointment of Rob as group CFO and welcome him to the board.”
