US lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret is to open at Bluewater shopping centre along with sister brand Pink.
Victoria’s Secret, which opened its first UK store at Westfield Stratford last year, will expand its presence in the south with the new opening.
Victoria’s Secret and Pink’s new stores will total 12,000 sq ft and open next spring.
Jack Wills has also taken space in the centre and the store will be its first outside a city centre.
Topshop’s new 32,000 sq ft store opens on Bluewater’s upper Rose Gallery this autumn.
Guy Thomas, head of retail leasing at Bluewater landlord Lend Lease, said: “The signing of Victoria’s Secret and Pink is a double success for Bluewater. As well as being great additions to our premium lingerie offer, they are the latest international brands to choose Bluewater for standalone stores from which to serve the Southeast.
“Their commitment is also indicative of Bluewater’s kudos across the industry. So far this year, 24 brands have committed, and a further 21 existing stores have invested in redesigns equating to more than 63,000 sq ft of space. Consequently, as we move towards the peak Christmas trading period, more than 165,000 sq ft of Bluewater’s offer will be new or enhanced this year.”
