Fifty per cent of retailers are planning three years ahead, and 25% just one and a half years ahead, compared with 22% who are preparing five years in advance and only 3% who are looking ahead by as many as 10 years.

We surveyed 30 c-level retail leaders, compared the responses with those from 30 manager-level retail employees and conducted 15 in-depth c-suite interviews.
