Danish brands house Bestseller has once again increased its stake in etailer Asos and now owns just over 20% of the company.

Bestseller, which owns brands including Jack & Jones and Vero Moda, increased its stake in the etailer from 18.3% to 20.3%.

Bestseller has upped its share in Asos over recent months prompting speculation that it may attempt a takeover of the etailer, a claim the retailer has previously rejected.

For the six months to December 31, Asos’ retail sales soared 59% to £100m.
