Andy Mounsey joins JLP’s executive team

Mounsey is currently the group finance and strategy director at John Lewis and has worked with the retailer in a host of senior finance roles for over a decade.

John Lewis’ present executive finance director Bérangère Michel announced her exit from the business in April after 16 years.

At the time, Michel said she would be stepping down from her post in the autumn “to pursue her future career options outside of the partnership”.

Mounsey will join the partnership’s executive team from July and officially take over from Michel on September 6.

John Lewis chief executive Nish Kankiwala said: “Andy is a highly experienced and valued member of our finance team, with a deep understanding of the partnership and the retail sector.

“I am delighted that Andy is able to support the partnership during this interim phase to ensure a smooth transition and our continued focus on executing against our transformation plan.”

Andy Mounsey said: “I’m incredibly privileged to be taking on this role. The partnership‘s finances are in a healthy position, enabling us to invest significantly across the business for our customers. I’m looking forward to working with the board and executive team to continue our transformation journey.”
