Dune is in consultation with Shoe Studio staff as it seeks to slim down and integrate its newly acquired footwear business.
Chief executive John Egan said the consultation involved up to 15 staff and added that Shoe Studio would move into the Dune head office in the next few weeks.
He also said the retailer is reviewing the number of concessions that Shoe Studio operates. “We do need to make some changes,” said Egan. “The business was far too complex and we are making it less complex.”
The buying and merchandising teams of the two businesses will remain separate and Egan said that Dune would be investing in design for its brands.
Dune bought Shoe Studio out of administration last month.
