Currys and PC World-owner Dixons has struck an agreement to run the consumer electronics section in world-famous department store Harrods.
Dixons will sell computers, audio and vision products as part of the concession deal, as well as services under its Knowhow brand, from 11,000 sq ft on Harrods’ third floor.
The Dixons store, operated by its own staff, will open in early 2012 and will be “at the forefront of store design” according to the retailer.
Dixons operations director Sebastian James said: “We are delighted that Harrods has recognised our market leadership and the compelling offer our team and our new service brand Knowhow can give customers.”
Harrods director of home, furniture and sound and vision said: “We have carefully selected a partner that boasts the best ranges and a trusted operation to ensure that the latest consumer technology is always at our customers’ fingertips.”
