German personal shopping service Outfittery has launched an online store in the UK, Retail Week can reveal.
Outfittery’s launch in the UK marks its 10th European territory. It already has a presence in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Sweden, Denmark and France.
The Berlin-based fashion retailer, founded in 2012, started with the aim to “serve customers around the world, offering assistance and guidance in a fast-paced world”.
Originally serving the menswear demographic, Outfittery expanded into womenswear in October 2021.
Outfittery said it uses both personal advice from its stylists as well as technology-based recommendations to offer shoppers outfits from around 100 brands.
Customers can shop the new service in the UK both online and via Outfittery’s app. The UK launch includes menswear and womenswear personal shopping services to help shoppers “find their perfect and unique style”.
Outfittery chief executive and co-founder Julia Bösch said: “The UK is very special to us. Not only a strong fashion player and home of legendary icons, it is also the biggest market in the European online fashion sector.
“The dynamic style and individuality, which is typical for the UK market, is something that fits perfectly with our mission; to help our customers unlock their true style.”
