N Brown chair Matt Davies has resigned from his role with the fashion group, effective from the end of March.
Davies, who was previously chief executive of Tesco, has been chair of N Brown since May 2018 but joined the board as an independent non-executive director in February that year.
During his tenure, he has been responsible for leading the group through a successful refinancing and transfer to the AIM.
Davies has also been chief executive at Halfords and finance director and chief executive of Pets at Home.
N Brown said senior independent director and audit committee chair Ron McMillan will step down from these roles to succeed Davies as chair.
McMillan also has positions at B&M and ScS.
N Brown said a search is underway for an additional independent non-executive director to become permanent audit committee chair.
