Primark is lowering the price across its kidswear offering

Primark said in a statement that the reduction across its kidswear offering will include T-shirts, leggings, sweatshirts, hoodies and pyjamas as it continues to “stand by its customers and its price leadership on the UK high street”.

The price cuts will be rolled out across Primark’s 2023 autumn/winter ranges, available in stores from the end of July.

Primark chief executive Paul Marchant said: “For millions of people, household finances continue to be stretched and we know that great value has never been more important for our customers.

“Our price leadership is central to everything we do and we are fiercely committed to protecting that for our customers to give them the confidence and certainty that, when they come into Primark, they’ll find the best value on the high street.

“Kids’ clothes are an essential purchase and we know that getting ready for a new school term can be a really expensive time for many families. We want to do our bit to help alleviate some of that pressure by lowering the prices on many of our kids’ essentials while continuing to offer the same great quality.”

Primark is expanding its click-and-collect trial

Primark also announced today that its click-and-collect trial has expanded to an additional 32 stores in and around London.

The click-and-collect service allows customers to shop across Primark’s children’s products across clothing and nursery before collecting their order at their chosen store.

Primark said shoppers in smaller store locations within the trial, including Tooting and Woolwich, will also benefit from being able to access products typically stocked in the larger flagship stores.

Primark UK retail director Kari Rodgers said: “It’s a really exciting moment for us as we take our click-and-collect trial to the next level and bring it to 32 of our stores in and around London.

“This means the service is now available in around a third of our UK stores, giving even more customers the added choice and convenience that click and collect offers and complementing the experience within our stores.

“The feedback we’ve had from customers in the stores already in the trial has been really encouraging so we’re looking forward to learning more as we expand the trial further.”
