Fashion giant Arcadia took another step forward internationally with the opening of a flagship Topshop/Topman store on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue.
It is Arcadia’s second statement store in the US, following the retailer’s debut in New York in 2009, and owner Sir Philip Green was there to oversee the opening.
The shop, with about 35,000 sq ft of trading space, has been designed “in the spirit of London’s iconic Oxford Circus store” and the launch includes 100 Topshop lines initially exclusive to Chicago.
Topshop will trade from the cellar and ground floor, and Topman on the floor above. In-store services include personal shopping.
A spokeswoman said: “Topshop/Topman Chicago will boast the same collection of trend-driven pieces, specialised collaborations and bespoke services the both brands have become known for.”
