Asda has today launched a voucher campaign to drive shoppers to its stores.
The grocer has taken out adverts in all the national newspapers today and tomorrow with two vouchers for customers to cut out – one offering £5 off £50 spent and the other offering £10 off £100 spent. The vouchers are also available to be downloaded from Asda’s website.
The vouchers can be redeemed across the majority of categories in stores, including clothing brand George.
A spokeswoman for Asda said: “At the start of the year the snow meant some of our customers found it very difficult to get to our stores and had to shop more locally, mostly in convenience stores. This campaign is a way of welcoming back our customers.”
The snow created huge problems for grocers at the start of the year with online deliveries and shoppers not being able to get to stores. Co-op won out as it mostly has convenience stores.
