Booker Group’s chief executive Charles Wilson has been appointed president of international food and grocery analysts IGD, replacing Sainsbury’s boss Justin King.
Mars president Fiona Dawson becomes IGD vice-president.
Wilson has been vice-president at IGD for two years, and will serve as president for the next two years.
Wilson joined Booker as chief executive in November 2005. Before that he was at Marks & Spencer where he was executive director for property, IT and supply chain.
Wilson said: “I will help IGD continue to improve the grocery supply chain to benefit the UK’s 60 million consumers via the 600,000 businesses and the 3.6 million people employed in the British grocery trade.”
