Following a strong set of results for the first half of the financial year, Co-op senior executives discuss the outlook for Christmas and the impact of retail crime on their business

C-store specialist the Co-op’s executive team were well within their rights to feel happy this morning. After storming back into the black in the first half of the financial year, with profits before tax of £58m and group revenues jumping to £5.6bn for the period – up £100m year on year – group chief executive Shirine Khoury-Haq and managing director of food Matt Hood spoke to journalists.
