The homewares retailer hopes the new structure, based at its London head office, will allow Habitat to roll out best practices across the business more efficiently and be able react more swiftly to market conditions.
Habitat group head of retail Paul-Henri Cecillon, who was promoted from France country manager this spring after helping to turn around the French business, will spearhead a three-year business plan focusing on Habitat’s core business of “selling innovative, contemporary, desirable furniture through inspirational retail environments”, according to the retailer.
Habitat said that, before the end of the year, it would open further stores with its new format in White City, Val d’Europe in France and Valencia in Spain. It will also launch with partners in new markets including Turkey, Indonesia and Finland.
