The Perfume Shop has recorded another successful Christmas as 2 million bottles of perfume were sold between November 28 and December 24.

The retailer said its busiest hour was the evening of December 18

The retailer also saw a last-minute rush of gift purchasing as gift set sales rose 54% in the final full week before Christmas.

Its busiest online day of the festive season was December 1, as its promotional deals were popular. It saw a 5% increase compared to 2023.

The Perfume Shop said its busiest hour was the evening of December 18, beating previous Black Friday records.

Click and collect and next-day delivery in the two weeks leading to Christmas Day were also up 10%.

Best-selling perfumes of December included Dior Sauvage, Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and Carolina Herrera Good Girl.

Personalisation services saw a rise of 8% compared with 2023, with 300,000 ribbons and 8,000 engraved perfumes sold.

Eight new Perfume Shop stores opened in 2024, along with 32 modernised experiential stores across the UK and Ireland to include open layouts, digital screens and energy-efficient LED lighting to support its 30% energy reduction target by 2030.
