Deal secures jobs
Music Zone has bought 41 MVC stores, following the retailer's collapse into administration last month.

Investors, including Chris Steed of Argyll Partners, bought MVC from Woolworths for£5.5 million in summer last year. But the administrators were called in after just four months.

The acquisition secures the jobs of 437 MVC employees. They will transfer to Music Zone, which are trading from the MVC sites.

Kroll joint administrator of MVC Andrew Pepper said: 'We are continuing to assess the options for the remaining 23 MVC stores and are still willing to consider offers for them.'
