LMUK, the company that runs the Nectar loyalty scheme, said it hopes to launch the card in mid-September. LMUK chief executive Rob Geirkink said: 'American Express's heritage, strong customer service and approach to rewarding customers is an excellent fit with our company's desire to offer the best value to our collectors.'
There are 17 participating companies in the scheme, which includes Sainsbury's, Debenhams and Adams Kids. However, kitchens specialist Magnet and a non-retailer will not accept the cards.
