Online organic grocer Abel & Cole has overhauled its website to attract more customers.
Head of marketing Anna Chapman said: “We needed to make the site cleaner and declutter the design. Also, we didn’t have some of the basics such as a picture with every product and that is essential.”
Chapman has started using social networking site Twitter to communicate with customers, and she said further developments will include optimising the search and recipe sections on the website and adding more personalised content.
The retailer will also increase its range further this year. Chapman said while trade was challenging, “we are working on our proposition to make sure our range and pricing is even more compelling”.
