My-Wardrobe reviews options as it cancels spring 15 orders

A My-Wardrobe spokeswoman said all employees and suppliers will still be paid during the review and there have been no redundancies, but added the retailer is “pausing to see what the next steps will be”.

The owner of a supplier affected by the cancellation of the spring 15 orders told Drapers that she has been left with a five-figure order that she would have to find a new stockist for.

She told Drapers: “The cancellation of an order that size is major for us – to try and sell that stock is going to be difficult. We can’t cancel with the factory as we’d still be liable for fabrics and trims.”

My-Wardrobe will continue to sell its current autumn 14 stock on the website.

The news is the latest setback to hit My-Wardrobe and comes after it was saved from administration in November by private investors.

The retailer’s co-founder Sarah Curren left the company last July shortly after receiving an MBE for services to fashion.

My-Wardrobe entered administration in November last year but was bought the same month in a pre-pack deal.
