Greetings card retailer Clintons has poached Dixons marketing man Tim Fairs as its new marketing director.
Fairs will be responsible for modernising the retailer’s offer and managing its new personalised web site. Clintons group managing director Clinton Lewin said Fairs will develop “a new look and feel” for the retailer and will create a more “contemporary approach” for the brand.
Fairs has had over 20 years retail experience. At Dixons, where he was head of marketing, he launched Knowhow. He has also held marketing roles at Virgin Retail and Comet.
Clintons has been without a marketing director for some time.
Lewin said: “Tim has an impressive track record for implementing game changing strategies and at this pivotal stage for the business it’s evident I know that Clintons will benefit from his experience.”
Fairs said; ”It is an exciting time to be joining Clintons as they embrace changes in both new technologies and retail to ensure that they stay as relevant today as they were over 40 years ago.”
